It tells you more than that (although it isn't obvious): because the
"for <repository>" is in parentheses, it indicates that the problem is
with the username/password rather than the repository. If your system
has an AUTHPRIV facility for sensitive information, the actual username
and password are logged there. (AUTHPRIV messages are typically sent to
a separate file that is readable only by root.)
