Ya i do the same on windows, i use win2K as a CVS server and use NTFS security to restrict access ..

The concept of groups is underused in unix. It is
exactly what you are looking for. Create two groups
grp1 and grp2. Put user A in grp1, but not in grp2.
chgrp and chmod your files on the server accordingly.
