Okay, I admit it. This is the one bit of Linux that gives me cold
sweats. I've just updated CVS to 1.11.10 the hard way, from source.
Okay, when I say "the hard way" I mean that I just typed "./configure ;
make ; make install " - but the thought of what *could* have gone wrong.....!
I much prefer RPMs. I tried installing from the RPM package, but rpm just
did nothing. Can anyone tell me what stupid mistake I made? Or is there
something wrong with the RPM?
For reference, I typed:
rpm -i cvs-1.11.10-cvshome.org.1.src.rpm
And instantly got the command prompt again, with no errors and no result.
