Hi Shivraman,The best you can do is to use watches (see cvs manual) to inform someone editing a file that someone else has started to edit the same file. To warn the 2nd editor you need to create a wrapper script for cvs edit which will run cvs editors before proceeding with the edit.
This won't stop concurrent edits but it will inform everyone concerned which is all you really need to do.

Hi AllThis may sound strange, but for my project i want to disable multiple checkouts. I know that this is one of the main features of CVS, but still we want to do it, or atleast have some messages/ permission by the adminitrator before multiple checkouts can be done. Is it possible to achieve this ? any good GUI that will achieve this ? i know of SMARTCVS, WINCVS. any other that u may suggest. regardsshivraman ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Do you Yahoo!? vote.yahoo.com <http://vote.yahoo.com> - Register online to vote today!
