Got a query about RLOG we're getting a problem when trying to do a rlog
between two tags, when one revision of a file was on a branch in one
tag, and on the head in the other tag....
When we run the following command:
cvs rlog -rv2_20_32::v2_20_33 SXXXXXXXXXXe/xsl/BXXXS/pop_up.xsl
we get:
RCS file: /cvs/XXXXXXXXXX/SXXXXXXXXXXe/xsl/BXXXS/pop_up.xsl,v
head: 1.2
branch:
locks: strict
access list:
symbolic names:
<snip>
v2_20_33: 1.2
<snip>
v2_20_32: 1.1.1.1
<snip>
keyword substitution: kv
total revisions: 6; selected revisions: 1
description:

revision 1.1.1.1
date: 2004/04/14 07:51:57; author: nXXXp; state: Exp; lines: +0 -0
branches: 1.1.1.1.12; 1.1.1.1.100; 1.1.1.1.114;
Moved from Serena.

I would expect to see just the log for revision 1.2 as on v2_20_32 it
was tagged on the branch at revision 1.1.1.1 and in tag v2_20_33 it
was tagged at the head level?
Anyone know why this is, or if there is a way to get the information I
am after? The above command seems to work if the revisions are on the
same branch. (i.e. 1.1 and 1.2 will show the commit log for the 1.2
revision only.)
