GNU Mailutils is a collection of utilities for handling electronic mail.
It contains a series of useful mail clients and servers built around
the single core library.
Specifically, the package contains a pop3 server, and an imap4
server. It also provides a POSIX `mailx' client, and a collection of
other tools. All programs are capable of reading and storing mail in a
variety of formats.
More information about the package is available from the following
locations:
http://www.gnu.org/directory/mailutils.html

Please email bugs or suggestions to <address@hidden>.
New in this release:
* mail utility: Supports `editheaders' boolean variable. When sending
an outgoing message correctly adds `In-Reply-To' and `References'
headers.
New command `setenv' allows to set and examine environment
variables.
* New library libsieve supports Sieve language as described in
RFC 3028 and provides a mechanism for dynamic loading of
user-defined actions, tests and comparators.
* sieve: Supports full set of actions and tests. Addition of new
commands is possible on platforms supporting dynamic linking.
* mail.local is now able to execute arbitrary sieve scripts before
final delivery.
* Added new utility mailutils-config. The utility prints gcc command
line options needed for compiling and linking an application against
mailutils.
Regards,
Sergey
