GNU tar 1.8 released (GPLv3)

Greetings,

As part of the releasing of version 3 of the GNU General Public
License, GNU tar has been upgraded to the new license.  The new
release, tar v. 1.18, is available for downloading from
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/tar and the mirror sites worldwide (see
http://www.gnu.org/order/ftp.html for the list of those).

The available files and their MD5 sums are:
