The png-File in your header is no valid png format. XV states
"File corrupted by ASCII-conversion".
Probably your file is indeed too complex, such that the resulting
image is too large. It must not be larger than 998 Bytes (encoded).

P.S.: I created by Face by hand, i.e., I converted the file to png
and base64-encoded it (there is an emacs command
`base64-encode-region').
