  Hi.

Preparing to try to get the keywords-group-thing going via the
registry, I tried to enable gnus-registry at work (where I use Gnus
5.10.6 on XEmacs 21.4 p6; this article is posted from home).

I've added this to my .gnus:

 ; Gnus registry:
 (load-library "gnus-registry")
 (gnus-registry-initialize)
 (setq gnus-registry-max-entries 2500
       gnus-registry-use-long-group-names t)

Gnus starts up and when mail is spooled I see messages from
gnus-registry swish by.

Now, when I try to quit Gnus, q, I get an error:

 Wrong type argument: natnump, -2498

I've tried setting debug-on-error to t, and I then get this backtrace
when trying to quit Gnus:

 Signaling: (wrong-type-argument natnump -2498)
   gnus-registry-trim((("<20041006083215.DFB192BC97@roma.magenta-aps.dk>" (...)
"nnml:magenta-tracker.DEG")
("<20041006083054.918A610DABAE@rovereto.magenta-aps.dk>" (...) "nnml:cron")))
   gnus-registry-save()
   run-hooks(gnus-registry-save)
   apply(run-hooks gnus-registry-save)
   gnus-run-hooks(gnus-save-newsrc-hook)
   gnus-save-newsrc-file()
   #<compiled-function nil "...(34)" [gnus-expert-user gnus-interactive-exit
noninteractive gnus-y-or-n-p "Are you sure you want to quit reading news? "
gnus-run-hooks gnus-exit-gnus-hook gnus-offer-save-summaries
gnus-save-newsrc-file gnus-close-backends gnus-clear-system
gnus-after-exiting-gnus-hook] 2
("/home/magenta/asjo/elisp/gnus/lisp/gnus-group.elc" . 114020) nil>()
   call-interactively(gnus-group-exit)

Am I doing something wrong? Please let me know if/how I can provide
more/better information.

(I'm using gnus-registry at home with cvs-gnus without problems).

  Best regards,

   Adam
