The patch should be applied to gnus-art.el and gnus-group.el by using the `patch' command (you can do it manually if you like). You need to byte-compile those files again afterward. But there are at least two easy ways: 1. Add this line to your ~/.gnus.el file: (setq mm-w3m-safe-url-regexp nil) This lets Gnus consider all links are safe. 2. Rebuild Gnus from the latest source. You can get it from: ftp://ftp.gnus.org/pub/gnus/snapshots/
