Subject: | [Koha-bugs] Koha 2.2.5 new installation under mySQL 5.0 - 'return' is now a Reserved word |

Hi everyone, I have just wrestled with the installation of a new copy of
Koha 2.2.5 on a server with Redhat Fedora Core 5, running mySQL 5.0.22. The
installation failed initially because the word ‘return’ is now
RESERVED in mySQL 5.0 (and up I assume). This word was used as a column name in
the table ‘issues’. As far as I can tell, the column is not
actually used in Koha (please correct me if I’m wrong), so I was able to
change the column name to ‘nu_return’. The definition is located in
the koha.mysql file. I’m now just waiting for our Library staff to customize
and test the installation, so I don’t yet know if the change is valid! Any suggestions? Regards, Mark Belton Applications Programmer Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE |
