that's it for sure : your catalogue is probably in unimarc. Where the encoding
is stored in 100$a (position 26-27 iirc)

in usmarc, unfortunatly, 100$a is ... the author.

so I think that Koha is confused by the mix. Unfortunatly, Koha can't handle
multi-marc catalogue atm.

I change status to "wontfix" as it's not on our scope to do that for instance
(sorry)
