Karen:

Do I understand from this that you want to have a central place where
students can search for books and it will return lists of books that are
available in every school?  Are you looking at inter-school loaning?

Are you looking to have a centralized district-wide circulation system as
well?  Or do you want individual library systems in each school?

In any case, if you have already done some automation, and I gather you
have, you'll want to check that the barcodes are unique in each school.
If they are not, it's not a deal break in and of itself, but it would help
if the barcodes used were unique throughout the district.
