Hiya Dorian

Its not really as bad as it seems :-)

There are only 2 real branches rel-1-2 and the main trunk.

The rel-1-2 branch should have no active development being done in it anymore.
Its the branch the 1.2.x releases come from. There will be at most one more
release from this branch.

All development should be being done in the main trunk. Which is where the
1.3.x releases come from. And is the future of koha.
Any development done in rel-1-2 (and i stress there should be none:-), but
sometimes it slips in) Should be merged back into the main trunk as well.

As soon as the 2.0 release is done, the rel-1-2 branch will cease to be of
any importance at all.
