Hi Kyle
Its 3.0.1 :) And yes you certainly can checkout a tag.
git checkout -b mybranchfrom_a_tag v3.00.01-stable_update
Which makes a branch mybranchfrom_at_tag (give it a less silly name of
course) and checks it out.
