Yes, I think it would.  But I am not an admin of that group so I don't
want to make such a decision myself.

Ian, do you agree it is a good idea?  I would make a redirect that
gives the user 10 seconds to stay on the old site for the archived
material, and I would reword the current notice to be a bit less
misleading (some people thought the whole project was dead).
