Bugs I know about:

1. one or more of of is_corner_10<greater,less> always returns true;

2. The SSE code runs too far along the line (the end point for it should 
be 15 or 16 pix earlier);

3. There is a visible seam along the corners returned by the SSE 9 
implementation and the is_corner_9 one. I'm not sure which version is the 
correct version.

But hey, at least it's not crashing anymore.
