Hi, I am vita_cell, I tested Apple Remote A1294

on Librebooted Macbook 2,1 T5600 with latest beta Libreboot firmware, with Trisquel/Linux-libre 4.4. Working out of the box. On desktop only "up" and "down" buttons work, as volume up and down. In Abrowser, up and down buttons work the same way as on desktop, "left" and "right" buttons work as page back and page foward, "OK" (center button) does nothing, "menu" and "play/pause" does nothing. In Rhythmbox "OK" button restarts the track/song, up and down work same way as previously, "left" and "right" work as next track and previous track, "menu" does nothing, "play/pause" works as it.

Here is still distorting cracking sound in left channel (speakers or headphones) on Macbooks 2,1 running GNU/Linux. This fixes it, but this is a temporary fix:
