We'd love to figure out how to build that example into
directory.fsf.org, or possibly pull in reviews from another site. We've
experimented in the past with star-based ratings.

Pulling in free data from another other sources could be interesting.
Debian's popcon data, for example, could be a useful field to include in
a template for software review entries.

As another example of why this project is important -- Amazon disabled
their tagging system, so users can't tag products anymore. We used to
use that tagging functionality to make important critical/protest points
about products (like, "defectivebydesign" because of DRM). I know from
Amazon sources that our protest tags were used at least once as examples
in an internal Amazon presentation.
