 $ autoconf --version
autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.63
<snip />

 $ autom4te --version
autom4te (GNU Autoconf) 2.63
<snip />

These were fresh installs from the latest released version, in order
to try to get past the earlier problems I had.

Also:

 $ automake --version
automake (GNU automake) 1.10.2
<snip />
