I've applied this. Let's hope this works out right.

* bin/autoreconf.in: Trace `LT_CONFIG_LTDL_DIR'; if it has been
seen, invoke libtoolize with `--ltdl' argument.
* lib/autom4te.in (Autoreconf-preselections): Adjust.
