Ermm - it's not as simple as that. cookie_io_functions_t implement
user-extensible stdio FILEs. I don't think you can implement them
without modifying libc. What I don't understand is why they're not
supported on cygwin. cookie_io_functions_t don't seem platform
dependent to me.
