in the wake of Jan's announcement for LilyPond for Windows, I'd like to announce LilyPond for MacOS X, which you can download fromhttp://lilypond.org/~hanwen/lilypond-2.5.26.zipCool, but it crashes for me on MacOS 10.4: dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/X11R6/lib/libexpat.1.dylibReferenced from: /Users/neeri/Desktop/lilypond-2/LilyPond.app/Contents/Resources/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.0.dylibReason: image not foundApple's X11 downgraded the bundled expat from libexpat.1.dylib to libexpat.0.dylib when going to 10.4. You probably should just bundle libexpat.
Are you saying that it won't work for people that didn't install apple X11?IIRC, it should just work if you dump 10.3's libexpat.1.dylib into Resources/lib/ . Can you verify (I can send you the dylib via private email if necessary)? I'll see what happens if I rebuild against my own compile of expat.
BTW, is there a chance of getting rid of ALL references to X11? It would seem that X11 is not inherently needed, but presumably many of the libraries linked by lilypond need it.
I'm fairly excited about this. With the native PDF support built into MacOS X, it should be possible to eventually integrate ClickEdit & Lilypond into one app (even with MIDI playing built in :-/)
Yup. Should be possible, although I'm not sure that I should be the person building this.
