http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/lilypond-devel/2006-04/msg00240.htmlHaving the hairpins ended on bar lines is less flexible than the FullLength idea, although I admit that I can't come up with a situation when one would want the cresc to go to the end of the note but still end before the next note (other than the bar line case).
