break-align-symbols and MetronomeMark

How hard would it be to add break-align-symbols to MetronomeMark?
I'd like to attach my
\tempo "Allegro" 4 = 120
to the clef instead of having it over the first note.
(err... I'm assuming that \tempo creates a MetronomeMark, since
modifing RehearsalMark didn't help)
