There are probably quite a few possible projects in relation with
conversion to and from MIDI, in order to make it more pleasant to use
arrangers and stuff. I think that midi2ly apparently totally garbles
MIDI with lyrics currently (producing output that is no longer supported
by either lilypond or convert-ly).
