Well...I *thought* I only had 32-bit hardware, but after doing some
research, that's not the case at all.  :-)

I'm running a 32-bit OS on 64-bit hardware, just as you said earlier.

Okay, now it halts at mingw::guile.  Everything is fine up until then.
