Ahm, you should not add c, but rather c' (i.e. middle c, including the
apostroph!).

No, \relative {...} is defined in the parser to be absolutely equivalent to
\relative c' {...}. In particular, middle c is used if no pitch is given. If
the score does not start with a c, but with a different pitch, it was always
relative to middle c anyway. So a simple search and replace should be vin.
