Also, what version of fontforge is in lilybuntu? Could somebody
run:
   fontforge --version

Since about 90% of our non-translation doc patches come from
people running lilybuntu[1][2], I veto any patch which requires
anything more than lilybuntu has.

[1] people are using lilybuntu because they're not versed in unixy
stuff. I might reluctantly accept asking them to run apt-get, but
**only** if the updated package is in the main ubuntu repository
or if the package can be updated without touching anything else
(i.e. backports). We will **not** ask them to add a new repo or
screw around with /etc/ files.

[2] we're getting close to having a new version of lilybuntu, so
"vetoing" a fontforge bump patch might just translate into "delay
the patch by a month or two".

Cheers,
- Graham

PS the potential irony of breaking git just as Kieren manages to
get stuff working on his third try *does* appeal to me -- hey,
I've never claimed that I'm not a bad, bad man -- but since this
would also mean throwing away almost all doc work, I'm drawing the
line.
