No. Open a cmd window and at the prompt just type

PATH

nothing else.

You'll see something like

You can see on my install that I have LilyPond\usr\bin more than once (WOW! I 
have only just noticed this on my system).

C:\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\bin; should only appear once but having it more 
than once is not a problem but it could be a problem if you have something like

C:\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\bin; C:\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\bin; 
C:\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\bin; C:\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\bin; 
C:\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\bin; C:\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\bin; 
C:\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\bin; C:\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\bin; 
C:\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\bin; C:\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\bin; 
C:\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\bin; C:\Program Files\LilyPond\usr\bin;

etc as I think the PATH statement can only be a certain length on XP.

I always use add/remove (as I said it shouldn't make a difference but it can 
sometimes).
