*.scm.orig files in my ../scm/.. dir

Hello,

I noticed that I have some files in my ../scm/.. dir that end in .orig
and appear to be older version of existing .scm files in the same dir.

I am sure they are probably not wanted/required but wondered if they
are an artefact of some misapplied patch during my patch testing days
or if they are files accidentally pushed to master by mistake some
time ago.
