shifted off the left of the page, I don't understand what this demonstrates.
If I was given this to sing, I wouldn't have a clue.

It's fairly common notation, although rarely seen in vocal
music.  The first Segno sign starts a section to be repeated,
the second ends it.  On the second pass you leave the
repeated section at the coda sign (crosshairs in a O) and
move to the coda.

Thanks. So the best bet might be to move the segno sign to above the clef where it would be within the margin?
