Looks good.  We will review and test just like we did last September.
Be patient. I've posted an item on the bug tracker 
 http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=2672
to keep track of progress.

Participate in the review as much as you can.  My difficulty with the
MIDI output code is the maze of C++ classes that do not correspond 
exactly to either Lilypond input concepts, nor to midi concepts. Your
analysis seems to have some guidance through that maze.
