Hi,
recently, I noticed some spots in the documentation, where I think that
could be wrong – at least I don't understand why it is documented like that:
1)
http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.16/Documentation/notation/writing-rhythms#scaling-durations
It is:
% Scale music by *2
Should it be?
% Scale music by 1/2
or
% Divide durations by 2
2)
http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.16/Documentation/notation/single-voice#chorded-notes
in the last list, the first bullet:
It is:
y f!
Should it be?
s f!
3) http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.16/Documentation/notation/multiple-voices.html
It is:
This example maps _four consecutive measures_ to four variables
Should it be?
four voices? (or 2 consecutive measures?)
4) http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.16/Documentation/notation/displaying-staves
Here, it is probably a translation problem:
GregorianTranscriptionStaff shows an ordinary Staff, but the German text
says there should be not staff lines (Notenlinien). The English
documentation is consistent: It does not show _bar_ lines (Taktstriche).
(Btw. is that the only difference?)
5)
http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.16/Documentation/learning/modifying-context-properties.de.html
This concerns the German translation:
At this page (and some others I couldn't find again), the English
expression "real" or "real number" is translated as "reale Zahl", which
I've never heard before. In my opinion it must be "relle Zahl".
Is there a better/preferred way than the developers list to bring up
issues like that?
Cheers,
Joram
