Or have the .po files already diverged?Since translation branch is at 2.17.95, which is behind stable, a merge should be done before applying to translation?I see. I'll check what to do here.Phil, don't you update the PO files as part of a release anyway? Does the patch by Jean-Charles do anything differently? -- David KastrupAs part of the build process, I do this: make -C $LILYPOND_BUILD_DIR po-replace mv $LILYPOND_BUILD_DIR/po/lilypond.pot po/ TBH I have no idea what that actually does...
"po-replace" updates the template file which is then incorporated to the sources tarball.
When this tarball is available, I send lilypond.pot to the FTP, with a link to the tarball. The result is on
http://translationproject.org/domain/lilypond.htmlThe FTP-robot does its job (I would say it updates the individual po files) and notifies assignees there is something to do. I then download lilypond-X.Y.Z.fr.po and updates it. Once my lilypond-X.Y.Z.fr.po is OK, I send it to FTP and the robot checks it before notifying the devel list.
I usually wait a week before GIT/FTP]$ rsync -Lrtvz translationproject.org::tp/latest/lilypond/ pocopy the downloaded files into staging, a full "make" and push if successful.
I think you might apply my patch to staging and cherry-pick it for stable/2.18 before merging into translation.
Cheers, Jean-Charles p.s.: leaving now to my parents' home.
