I used PMX and so it's quite easy. And you can do much more :-)

I don't know exactly what you want but it could be the same as I
want...

Yes... I think it could be enough to make a simple interface with
an editor where you type in your lilypond code. The interface
has just to show something like denemo does. It doesn't need to
accept input.

MIDI or not - I think that's not the question, because you can
use lilypond to get it...

PS: yes, I use lilypond to compose, it's better than PMX...
