Well, it now is no longer part of lilypond, or the manual. For future
portability, please use


             \fatText

and

        \emptyText

(they now map to

        \property Voice.TextScript \set  #'no-spacing-rods = ##f

and 

        \property Voice.TextScript \set  #'no-spacing-rods = ##t

)
