Greetings!
Before I tell you my problem, I want to thank you for creating what
appears to be a wonderful application. The examples of LilyPond that
I've seen are very clean and elegant, and I wish you all the best in
continuing to develop and propagate it. :)
Hopefully, my problem will be of some help to the development process.
;) If it doesn't, I am nonetheless grateful for your support. Here's
what happened when I ran ly2dvi after creating test.ly:
$ ly2dvi -P test.ly
Running LilyPond...
GNU LilyPond 1.6.6
Now processing: `test.ly'
Parsing...
Interpreting music...[1]
Preprocessing elements...
Calculating column positions... [2]
paper output to `test.tex'...
Analyzing test.tex...
Running LaTeX...
Running dvips...
error: dvips: command exited with value 32512

DVI output to `test.dvi'...
When I view test.dvi with kdvi, it looks pretty clean, only the stems
are a bit detached from the noteheads and there's no ledger line for the
c note.
Any leads as to why a PostScript file wasn't generated? I installed an
RPM version of LilyPond from an apt repository using Synaptic.
Cheers,
Richard Benedict
