Don't understand error...

Hello,

I'm typesetting a flute part and I am very surprised by the following 
problem :

Having R2*2 (in 2/4 time), I get the following error :

[8][16][24][32][40][48][56][64][72][77]
Preprocessing graphical objects...
Calculating line breaks... programming error: 
Multi_measure_rest::get_rods (): I am not spanned! (Continuing; cross 
thumbs)

If I substitute R2*2 by r2*2 everything is OK !

Anybody has an idea ?????
