Please always specify what operating system you use and how you
installed LilyPond (if you compiled it yourself or from what
package).

If you run ly2dvi with the extra flag '-V', you will get a more
informative error message that you can send to this list.

I reinstalled TeTeX (which holds dvips, I understand) and the error didn't change. I've tested lilypond on Mutopia ly files, and it's the same error.

What do you think? Thanks.
