Sounds likely!

returns nothing/blank
(n.b. I can manually get to it in /sw/bin/)

usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin
(n.b. no '/sw/bin' in there!)

Nope -- however, I've added /sw/bin to my $PATH and 'lilypond' still  
doesn't work...

Any other thoughts?
