The figured bass example `figured-bass.ly' in regression tests:

proposes

  \property FiguredBass.BassFigure \set #'direction = #-1

to change the direction. Then you have to also put numbers in reverse
order.

You can use \markup{ ... } to put different symbols in the middle of
figured bass. Refer the manuals (search for markup) to find out all the
possibilities to use symbols in markup.

Could those `-'-marks mean ties (i.e. not replaying a single note)?
