problem installing lilypond

I have tried to install versions 1.8.2, 2.0.1 and 2.1.1 of Lilypond and
faces the same problem each time.  I used Mandrake's RPM files prepared
by Thac (http://rpm.nyvalls.se) for Mandrake 9.2.  Once installed,I can
run 
$lilypond -h
but other commands using lilypond gives the following error message:

GNU LilyPond 1.8.2ERROR: In procedure dynamic-link:
ERROR: file: "libguile-srfi-srfi-13-14-v-1", message:
"libguile-srfi-srfi-13-14-v-1.so: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory"

I have guile 1.6.4 from the Mandrake distro installed on the system.  
Can anyone help solving this?
