Ha! I finally did what an more intelligent beeing would have done first:
open collated-files.html and search for `shift'.
Attached you can find an image of what B&H does, and the corresponding
LilyPond input. There's still one difference to the original B&H print:
the horizontal distance between the g and the bes should be reduced a
little bit (shorter beam).

Well, the force-hshift seem to do the job. As noted above, what's missing
is an additional left-shift of the b16.
And, if possible, a set of rules that automatically choose that
arrangement when necessary.
Looks like I've to read LilyPond sources and to find my good old Wanske
edition. I hope I won't break *my* bookshelves :-)
