I definitely agree, but it DIDN'T work until I did this. I couldn't
find the documentation of what the value of $TEXMF means. What are
the !! for? In any case, until I gave that definition, things didn't
work. For example kpsewhich ecrb10.pfa
gave nothing (i.e. a blank line), until I set TEXMF.
Mats, Well, I got things working. It seems that what was
necessary, was for me to put the line export
TEXMF="{$HOME/texmf,/usr/share/texmf}" in my .bashrc. After I did
that, then lilypond could find the ec fonts in my $HOME/texmf. Now
lilypond 2.4.0 seems to work. Thanks again.
