How to change GNU GRUB boot loader settings? I want change default OS.
Did you intend to ask this on this list?
That file should be owned by root so log in somewhere as root and change menu.lst. I always install sudo so I can execute root commands one at a time. When I boot from CD I can change GRUB options like default OS, but I can't install packages and I obtain message: No kernel packages were installed on your system. Your boot loader configuration will not be changed. I found menu.lst file but I don't have permission.
