I'm not certain I understand this.  Why do you want to make
beams "go further"?  Do you want something like this?

One hint for Lilypond problems: try to create a short example
to demonstrate the problem.  See my example about beams
above; I don't have anything other than what I need.

If you're asking a question about beaming, then make an
example that doesn't have any chords in it -- you don't need
chords to ask about beaming, so they'll just confuse the issue.
Also, it's a lot easier for us to look at a one-line example to spot
a problem, instead of hunting around for a certain bar in
somebody's piece.

Finally, you might discover that you can't reproduce a problem
when you're trying to make a one-line example.  If that's the
case, then have another look at your piece, and try to find out
why your piece is different from the one-line example.
