TeXLive and ly file inside tex file - .

I am user of LaTeX (TeXLive 2003) and I want to attach ly files or ly
code into tex file.

What should I do?
In TeXlive there is no lilypond package so I suppose I must use cygwin
and lilypond-book.

But I am little confused about instructions given in lilypond doc in
section lilypond-book.
Must I rename my tex file to lytex or latex?

What about instruction lilypond-book ?
Is it works only in book class or article too?

Do you have some LaTeX file with Lilypond code that works?

I use on Windows platform ( where I have TeXlive 2003 ) lilypond 2.2.5 
and on FC3 lilypond 2.4.2.
