An alternative way to print a line between two verses is to add an
extra line of "lyrics" that only contains a space followed by an
extender line that lasts for the full piece. For example, in a piece
in 4/4 that is 24 bars long, you could use
\new Lyrics \lyricmode{ _1*24 __ }

    Well, that does satisfy my query the way I phrased it...I guess if I
actually want lines, as opposed to just extra space, I'll have to use PS.
