The important lines in this file are:

datadir="/usr/share/lilypond/2.4.5"
if [ -z `echo $TEXMF | grep "$datadir"` ]; then
        TEXMF="{$datadir,"`kpsexpand  \\$TEXMF`"}"
        export TEXMF
fi

You have to modify the first line to correspond to where the
files are placed on your system.
